Steelworks NZ ltd are committed to being part of the community and actively engaging in a number of activities, events, teams sponsorship initiatives locally and throughout the region.
A few of these engagements are

- Coaching and managing a variety of
sports teams in Tauranga - Committees Members for various clubs and school groups including athletics, swimming, rugby, netball & rowing in Tauranga and Waikato regions
- Sponsoring water polo - Mt Maunganui
- Supplying welding helmets, safety equipment and materials for secondary school metalwork department
- Sponsoring secondary school rowing
- Sponsoring junior rugby - Mt Maunganui & Tauranga Sports
- Sponsorship of Tauranga East Tai Mitchell rugby
